Not a Medical Device or EHR System

JourneyWell does not connect to, pull information from, or sync with any Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, hospital network, or medical provider database. All information must be entered manually by you. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all information inputted into the application. JourneyWell does not review, verify, or validate the accuracy or safety of any medication dosages, schedules, activity limits, or care instructions you enter.

Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, prescription regimen, or recovery plan. Emergency Notice

JourneyWell IS NOT AN EMERGENCY RESPONSE SYSTEM. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency services number) or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not rely on this App or its alerts to manage life-threatening or urgent medical situations.

The developers, creators, and distributors of JourneyWell assume no liability or responsibility for damage, injury, or adverse health outcomes arising from data entry errors, missed alerts, or the use or misuse of this tool.

About This Application & Your Data

JourneyWell is a personal companion app to help you stay organized, informed, and supported throughout your healthcare journey. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use JourneyWell, so you understand the purpose of the application, its limitations, and how your personal information is treated.

No Account or Sign-In

JourneyWell has no sign-in step. The app opens straight to your records, and you are never asked to create an account, provide an email address, or connect a Google account. Nothing about you is registered anywhere.

How Your Information Is Stored

The information you enter — appointments, medications, well-being notes, expenses, contacts, and similar records — is stored only on this device, in this browser’s local storage. Nothing is uploaded or transmitted anywhere, and there is no server or cloud copy of your records. Your records are therefore available on this device only, and they do not follow you to another device or browser.

Because your records are saved in the browser on each individual physical device rather than in a centralized cloud database, JourneyWell keeps a separate, self-contained set of records on every device where you use it. Your desktop, your tablet, and your mobile phone each hold their own records, and those records do not sync with one another. An appointment you enter on your desktop will not appear on your phone, and a medication dose you mark as taken on your phone will not show up on your desktop. The same is true of different browsers on a single device: records entered in one browser are not visible in another, so it is best to open JourneyWell the same way every time.

If you would like your records on more than one device, you can move them yourself with the app’s Backup & Restore feature — export a backup file on the device that holds your records, then restore that file on the other device. Until you do, please treat each device as its own separate set of records: nothing entered on one device can be recovered from another device, clearing the browser’s stored data removes that device’s records only, and anything entered in a private or incognito window is discarded when that window is closed.

What Information You Provide

JourneyWell only stores the information you choose to enter. It does not automatically pull data from Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, hospitals, or medical providers. You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of what you input.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

JourneyWell does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, and the app contains no advertising networks, behavioral trackers, or data-broker tools. Because your records never leave your device, there is nothing for anyone else to collect.

Data Security & Isolation

Your records never leave this device, so there is no account, no shared database, and no other user who could see them. That also means your records are only as private as the device itself: anyone who can open this browser on this device can read what you have entered, so keep the device locked and avoid shared computers for sensitive entries.

Your Rights & Deleting Your Data

You can delete individual records at any time from within the app, and because there is no cloud copy, deleting a record removes it for good. To erase everything at once, clear this site’s browsing data or uninstall the app on this device; that removes every record, and it cannot be undone.

HIPAA & Regulatory Note

JourneyWell is a personal organizational and reminder tool. It is not a medical device, an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, and it is not operated by a healthcare provider or health plan. JourneyWell is not intended to act as a Business Associate under HIPAA. You enter all information manually, and you should not rely on JourneyWell for clinical decision-making.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the version shown alongside the document below changes so you can see that it was updated.
